Cap off your work experience with a bachelor’s degree.
The ETEEAP or Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program is a program that allows individuals to attain an academic degree through an assessment process that recognizes, credits, and gives equivalencies to knowledge, skills, and prior learning gained from relevant formal, non-formal, and informal training and work experiences. De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde offers undergraduate programs deputized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to Implement ETEEAP. These ETEEAP deputized programs are designed to be completed in one (1) school year through a personalized and individualized delivery. ETEEAP candidates only need to attend regular classes if they request refresher or enrichment programs.
DLS-CSB is regarded by many as an institution that offers trailblazing and industry-responsive programs. The College has been granted an ‘Autonomous Status’ by CHED – the highest recognition that CHED can grant any higher education institution in recognition of one’s commitment to excellence.
CHED also conferred DLS-CSB’s business and hotel & restaurant programs as ‘Centers of Excellence.’ Many programs also enjoy the benefits of various levels of PAASCU accreditation.
All ETEEAP candidates must undergo an institutional ETEEAP course that will help them relate to the Benildean-Lasallian identity and values as you integrate them into your workplace to live out what it means to be a Benildean-Lasallian today. Choosing Benilde as one’s ETEEAP partner will match or add value to your personal and professional brand.
Because ETEEAP is an equivalency and accreditation program, the length of the application process will depend on your capability to produce the needed pieces of evidence of your formal, non-formal, and informal training and work experiences. It begins with the Initial Screening Process. You will be requested to submit the following:
Once approved, you will proceed to the Pre-Application Process. In addition to an interview with your chosen program, you will be requested to submit your portfolio, which includes the following:
After the portfolio is completed after payment of the admissions fee, the Admissions Process is the final step. You will be requested to submit the following:
Once you receive your Letter of Acceptance from DLS-CSB, your ETEEAP journey begins!
There are two (2) major ETEEAP activities in the Program. The first is the FINAL VALIDATION assessments, and the second is the LEARNING ACQUISITION activities.
The final validations are the credit-bearing activities. These will earn you the units you need to earn your degree. You must complete a series of final activities ranging from diagnostic examinations panel validations, and skills. demonstrations, project. presentations and exhibitions of work. ETEEAP assessors include both faculty and industry experts. The learning acquisition activities are non-credit bearing but are designed to help prepare you for the final validation.
Learning acquisition activities include sessions with a faculty mentor and preparing final requirements that lead to the final validation assessment. These are optional activities; you may go straight to final validation if you are confident to do so based on your self-assessment. We will help you decide through the orientation and consultations
Once you complete all the final validation assessments, you will finally join the graduation ceremonies and march alongside the graduates of the degree program of your choice!
You are eligible to join if you are:

If you are accepted into the program, you will receive a written acceptance letter and advisement to enroll in the ETEEAP Program officially. Mentors arrange competency exams for select performance and studio-based courses to assess and accredit advanced knowledge gained outside the classroom if actual, written evidence of competencies is unavailable.
You can earn your Bachelor of Performing Arts Major in Dance degree in a year’s time, following the ETEEAP-Dance Flowchart. You can otherwise plan an alternative time table with your assigned mentor.

“I started working at an early age and because of the demands and dynamics of the hospitality industry at the time, I was not able to complete my degree. With the many years of professional experience, and after finding out the non-traditional set-up of ETEEAP, I was inspired to pursue earning my degree finally. After graduating from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) through ETEEAP, I was able to pursue and complete my AFP general staff course and got commissioned in the Philippine Navy Reserve Force.”
Designation & Accolades:
“I started working at a young age and even landed a job overseas. But the dream of earning a degree continued to be a burning desire. I believed then and continue to believe now that one is never too old to study. Having worked for so many years, I also wanted to be promoted to a managerial position – something which is not possible without a bachelor’s degree. Graduating through ETEEAP also contributed a lot to my academic success.”
Designation & Accolades:
“After earning an undergraduate degree through ETEEAP and with units earned in a master’s degree, I had the confidence to apply for a Beverage Manager position in a Luxury River Cruise Line. Though I did not have any managerial experience to back me up, I was hired by the company. Equipped with confidence, fresh ideas, and leadership I learned during my graduate studies, I continued to excel at my work. Similarly, I earned additional value and credibility.”
Designation & Accolades:
“After some 30 years of actual hospitality experience with brands such as Philippine Airlines, Hyatt International & Shangri-La international, I wanted to complete my career circle by enrolling in the ETEEAP program – only by doing so, I thought, my circle would be finally complete. I was right. DLS-CSB handled my ETEEAP education very professionally and in flexible ways, making it very easy for me to complete the entire program.”
Designation & Accolades:
“ETEEAP helped me achieve my dream of earning my bachelor’s degree that was put on hold 21 years ago. The program evaluated and validated the knowledge I gained from over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry both here and abroad.”
Designation & Accolades:
“ETEEAP provided a platform for me to obtain my bachelor’s degree which is a prerequisite for admission to a graduate program of any school of my choice. ETEEAP in Benilde, with its flexible learning schedules, allowed me to achieve just that without sacrificing my time as a regular employee in a demanding role.”
Designation & Accolades:
Past applicants with a strong desire to earn a bachelor’s degree despite professional success have cited the following reasons for enrolling in our ETEEAP programs:
You do not have to stop your professional life to earn a degree if you go through the ETEEAP program. ETEEAP programs are individualized. Personalized schedules for final validations and learning acquisition activities can be rearranged based on your availability and that of your faculty mentors and assessors.
Schedules can be made beyond the regular Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Also, ETEEAP programs do not follow the schedules of traditional undergraduate programs
Based on our experience, past ETEEAP applicants spend a considerable amount of time preparing their portfolios. If the required documents are readily available, admission into the program will be a breeze.
The ETEEAP program is designed to be completed in three (3) terms or one (1) school year. ETEEAP candidates may also enroll in more than cluster validations required in the program flowchart with the condition that no learning acquisition will be requested.
The length of your ETEEAP journey with us will depend on your ability to produce the needed documents and your capability & availability to complete the final validation requirements and learning acquisition activities.
Yes, this is also possible. The current Benilde online learning platform of BigSky, as well as the other digital forms of communication such as the ubiquitous Zoom conferencing application, video calls, discussion boards, and other interactive technology, are utilized to develop and recalibrate problem–solving, reasoning, critical thinking, decision making, and evaluation skills.
It will be to your advantage, however, to attend the Program while in the country to be able to have access to the College’s facilities such as our specialized laboratories, computer rooms with software applications, and theaters for productions, as well as tools and equipment needed for your program. While abroad, you must secure your own hardware, software, tools, and equipment.
We also have online library resources to supplement your learning but not all of our print collections are available online. You will have to make the most of the available online resources.
For skills demonstrations, you will also have to provide your materials or ingredients as necessary. For workplace visits & observation (if applicable), we will need your assistance scheduling interviews with immediate superiors and peers. In case of differences in time zones, you must adjust schedules based on Philippine standard time.
After completing all final validation requirements, you will receive the same degree title as the anchor undergraduate program of your ETEEAP program (e.g. Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management or Bachelor of Performing Arts Major in Dance).
Since ETEEAP is individualized and personalized, the fees will vary depending on your needs and assessed capability. ETEEAP is also program based. Hence, the cost of ETEEAP will differ from one program to another. Please give us a call or send us an email. Tell us about your professional background, and we can respond from there.
